Hi, I have a problem.
I am addicted to anything with cheese and pizza sauce.
Meet the reason behind this:
A calzone filled with Ricotta, Mozzarella, Spinach, and Sauce.
Are you drooling yet?
You better believe I ate my entire half, followed by whatever I could lick off of hubby's plate.
This was after he freaked out over how big it was. (that's what she said)
And after I lied replied, "We can save any left for tomorrow."
Psh. I knew I wouldn't let any of this go to waste.
here's what you need:
(feel free to add any other fillings you have lying around...like mushrooms, mmmm)
1 package of refrigerated Pillsbury pizza dough
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup chopped spinach
1/2 cup pizza sauce
3 tbs olive oil
now follow these easy steps:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Grab a cookie sheet and spread some olive oil on it.
Lay out pizza dough on cookie sheet, unless you have a pizza brick (you fancy, huh?)
Add whatever toppings your heart desires. Add the mozzarella cheese last.
Flip one side over and use a fork to crimp/seal the edges.
Cut 2 holes on top so the steam can escape.
Brush olive oil all over the top because it tastes amazing and makes the Calzone a golden brown.
Cook for 15-20 minutes until puffed up and golden brown.
