Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake with Nestle Toll House Morsels

34
Here in Germany, coffee cake is a big deal. It is called Kaffeekuchen and it is delicious.
I have been dying to make some myself and what better way than to mix it with some chocolatey goodness from Nestle Toll House?! This chocolate chip coffee cake with Nestle Toll House Morsels was a huge hit in our house. Served with a cup of coffee or an ice cold glass of milk, it is sure to hit the spot!

Ingredients:
1 stick butter at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp water
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup Nestle Toll House Morsels chocolate chips

You will need three bowls for this.

Preheat oven to 350'

In first bowl:  Mix butter, 1 cup white sugar, and eggs.
Followed by the sour cream, vanilla and water.

In second bowl:  Mix flour, baking powder and soda.
Combine into the wet ingredients.

In third bowl:  Mix 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, chocolate chips.

Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch glass baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the cinnamon, sugar, and chocolate chip mixture on the batter.
Pour in the rest of the batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon, sugar, and chip mixture.
Bake at 350' F for 30 minutes.
Let cool for at least 30 minutes. We let ours sit for an hour and it was perfect. If you cut into it too soon, the chocolate is too melted and will be difficult to scoop out.
